About Me
I’m a designer who thrives on complex design challenges and trying new things. My first job at an insurtech startup was a perfect fit, allowing me to wear many hats and exercise my love for user research. I became invested in our users, especially given the sensitive nature of the trucking insurance industry. At HDVI, I had the autonomy to discover what mattered most to our users and was given full trust to deliver on those insights. In every role, I aim to focus on deeply understanding the users I design for. At Echo Global Logistics, I get to work on more internal-facing products, which has introduced a vastly more challenging set of problems, especially with migrating desktop app legacy software into a modern and advanced web app for a devoted group of super users that love their legacy systems.

Work Experience
Echo Global Logistics
UX Designer
December 2024 - Present \ Chicago, IL
- Work across three different products: EchoDrive (external-facing) Web, EchoDrive Mobile, and EchoAccelerator (internal)
- Conduct end-to-end UX research with carrier sales reps (internal users on Accelerator) and carriers/fleet owner-operators (external users on EchoDrive web/mobile). This process involves: interviews, journey-mapping, and synthesis
- Design and iterate on high-fidelity interactive prototypes, occasionally building out through React/AI to create real-time prototypes with realistic data for users to interact with and test during the design solution phase. Static prototypes are often used, but for complex scenarios, I build using AI for realistic testing once the user problems are already identified
- Lead discovery research to better define user problems and create workflow diagrams to identify user pain points and provide data-backed recommendations to the product team
- Partner closely with multiple Product Owners across multiple engineering teams and business stakeholders to create alignment on design direction. I lead consistent design meetings with stakeholders and Product during each design phase or for communicating decisions on research insights
- I design for real-world complexity: always thinking ahead to discover edge-cases, error states, async interactions, etc. I help engineering teams during the development process, testing and assisting QA
